My thesis ·

The first high gets my attention

Current view, written after the position snapshot above.

NVIDIA is the obvious name. Everyone knows the AI story. “Everyone knows” is not much of an entry strategy, so I also watch what the price is doing.

The recent 52-week-high breakout is the setup that interests me. In my experience, a strong stock can make its first new high, then a second and third over the next few weeks. The first high gets my attention. Follow-through earns the conviction. That is why I am constructive on Q4 2026.

There is already a pullback to judge. Yahoo Finance's daily history shows a 52-week intraday high of $243.37 on 6 October, followed by a $229.28 close on 9 October. The breakout has to prove it can hold and resume. My experience is an observation, not a tested rule or a promise that the next high arrives on schedule.

The business still gets homework: revenue growing quarter after quarter, strong operating margins, customers spending, management delivering and dilution kept sensible. A famous ticker gets the same checks as everything else. A good business can still be an expensive stock.

This is my new Q4 view, written on 11 October. Earlier prints discussed working NVDA toward an exit; those decisions stay in the archive. The 9 October snapshot still shows 400 shares, three short calls and two short puts. Calls can cap the upside I am looking for, and puts can add shares. A bullish view does not magically rewrite the payoff.

  1. · Print 006

    NBIS 100 → 500. NVDA 400 → 600. TWLO 300 → 500. SOFI 8,500 → 9,000. FLEX 600 → 900. TQQQ 1,100 → 1,300. BE, SMMT and SMTC now sit as shares. NOW stock is gone; two October 30 puts remain. BRZE and NU left the register.

  2. · Print 005

NVDA is down with the rest of the AI group, but the long-term reason for owning it has not disappeared because of one CPI number.

  3. · Print 004

NVDA 500 → 400, last 231.33. Different overlay from GOOG. Sell the put at 230 below the print, sell the call above 240. Floor and ceiling. The 230 calls still on Oct 09/12/16 are the leftover grind; the 230/240 puts are the new sleeve. Collar the line. Do not dump it.

  4. · Print 003

NVDA 600 → 500. Last 231.68. Covered calls are the exit, not a market order. Strikes lifted 220 → 225/230 (Oct 05/09/12/16). One 100-lot came off; the remaining 500 is being called out on a grind. Same for GOOG: 600 → 500, last 336.61. Oct 02 340 and 352.5 calls expire nearly worthless (premium kept). Rolled one 340 call to Oct 23. Both names: sell calls, plan to exit, do not add.

  5. · Print 002

NVDA stuck in a range around 220-225. Not moving. Added 100 shares via Sep 25 225-put assignment (underlying 224.55 at expiry). Position now 600 shares at 223.24 average. Sold Oct 05/09 220 calls to monetize time decay. Not planning to add more — will sell calls and wait for a breakout or exit on strength.

The holdings page is the register from this session: HK names DIT / HKBN / Akeso, US names including GOOG, NVDA, SOFI, TQQQ, TWLO, CRWV, and the short listed options on top. Flagged rows keep the IB mark. A C last price is a closing print.
