Position Book

About Position Book

A live portfolio track record, printed weekly, with no edits to old leaves.

What this is

Position Book is a public record of a real Interactive Brokers portfolio. The NAV is in the millions (HKD). Each week gets a new dated journal print. Old prints are never edited.

The current print is from 23 Oct 2026, NAV HKD 6,914,925.59, TWR YTD 2.42%.

What’s included

  • Equities — US and Hong Kong stocks. Current names include TWLO, SOFI, NVDA, GOOG, NU, NOW, AEIS, Akeso (9926.HK).
  • Short listed options — Weekly and monthly calls and puts sold against equity positions. The overlay is not hidden. Every line is in the register.
  • Leverage — TQQQ (3x NASDAQ) and a residual TZA (3x small-cap short) line. No margin borrowing. No synthetic leverage outside of listed options.

Returns methodology

Returns are time-weighted (TWR), not money-weighted. TWR measures manager performance independent of deposit and withdrawal timing. It’s the standard for comparing track records.

The benchmark is NASDAQ Composite, not S&P 500, because the book tilts tech. The book and NASDAQ are shown on the returns chart.

Returns are transcribed from the published Interactive Brokers dashboard prints. The current chart and the retained historical grid have separate source dates, shown on the returns page. Fee treatment has not been independently reconciled against a finalized statement.

Why publish this

Three reasons:

  1. Accountability — A public track record with no edits is harder to game. You can see every mistake.
  2. Transparency — Most finance track records hide the short option overlay or reconstruct history. This one shows every line and never rewrites a leaf.
  3. Learning in public — Writing the weekly print forces clarity. The journal is the thinking, not just the results.

What this is not

  • Not investment advice — This is a personal record, not a recommendation. Do not copy these positions.
  • Not soliciting capital — This book is not open to outside investors. I am not raising AUM.
  • Not a blog — The prints are dated records, not essays. If a week has nothing to say, the print is numbers only.
  • Not guaranteed — Past returns do not predict future results. Down weeks are printed, not hidden.

Frequently asked questions

What is Position Book?

Position Book is a public record of a real Interactive Brokers portfolio. Each week gets a new dated journal print, and old prints are never edited.

How often is the portfolio updated?

The portfolio is updated weekly after the broker snapshot is available. This page reflects the current holdings date of 23 Oct 2026.

How is performance measured?

Performance is shown as time-weighted return (TWR), compared with the NASDAQ Composite. The figures are transcribed from the published Interactive Brokers dashboard prints.

Are these investment recommendations?

No. Position Book is a personal record for transparency and education, not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Do not copy these positions.

Why are short options included?

Short listed calls and puts are part of the live portfolio's option overlay, so they are shown in the register rather than hidden. Short options can create assignment obligations and additional downside risk.

Are the prices live?

No. Holdings prices are marked values from the dated broker snapshot. They are not guaranteed live quotes and may be stale by the time you read the page.
